About CandleStorm
I’ve always loved candles—not just for the fragrance, but for the way they can completely change the feeling of a room. Light one, and suddenly you’re somewhere else.
But over the years, I found myself disappointed by a lot of the candles I bought. Some fragrances felt predictable. Others were so poorly made that they bothered me rather than creating the atmosphere I was looking for. I started wondering: What if I could make the candles I actually wanted to burn?
And that’s how CandleStorm️ began.
I wanted to create fragrances that felt a little more unexpected—scents that could remind you of a place you’ve been, a moment you’d forgotten, or somewhere that may never have existed at all.
Every CandleStorm fragrance starts with an idea or a feeling. Sometimes it’s a memory. Sometimes it’s a place. And sometimes it’s simply a story I want to tell through scent. I blend and test until it feels right, using 100% soy wax and thoughtfully selected fragrance materials to create candles I feel good about burning in my own home.
Everything is made by me in small batches on Chicago’s North Shore. From choosing the fragrances and pouring the wax to naming each candle and dreaming up its story, CandleStorm️ is very much a hands-on labor of love.
You’ll also occasionally meet Wick, my candle-carrying raccoon and unofficial CandleStorm️ mascot. He’s a little mischievous, a little nocturnal, and seems perfectly at home wandering through the strange little world these candles have created.
CandleStorm️ isn’t really about making a room simply smell good.
It’s about making it feel like somewhere else.
Candles for places you’ve been, places you remember, and places that may never have existed at all.
